Song of the Paddle, An Illustrated Guide to Wilderness Camping
by Bill Mason,1988, Key Porter Books.
"Song of the Paddle was the long-awaited sequel to the phenomenally successful Path of the Paddle. It is more than a "how-to" camping and canoeing guide. It is a philosophical guide to outdoor living, to be read and enjoyed by both novice and experienced campers, canoeists and conservationists." Song of the Paddle, 1988
The book was revised in 2003 through Bill Mason Productions. The project was managed by Bill's wife, Joyce, and content modifications were made by Bill's children, Paul and Becky, both professional canoe instructors.
"Mason's love of wilderness canoeing shines through on every page of this nicely illustrated and entertaining book. Solid advice and chock full of camping tricks that are not available elsewhere." - Cliff Jacobson, Author/Expedition canoeing, The Globe-Pequot Press
