This was painted sometime in the early 1980's.  This was a sketch for a series of waterfall paintings.

"Waterfalls are my favourite subject. I would canoe for weeks to get to a waterfall. The more remote the better. There are many beautiful falls accessible by road, but the experience isn't the same. There's nothing like railings and trodden paths to kill the atmosphere of a beautiful falls. It's getting so one must go ever further afield to enjoy a falls in pristine beauty. But a few are still out there, flowing wild and free", Canoescapes, 1995.

The painting is not framed and not signed. A letter of authenticity will accompany the work.
