The Bill Mason Memorial Scholarship Fund (BMMSF) Founded by Paddle Canada in 1990, the BMMSF's main objective was, and continues to be to help provide tomorrow's environmental stewards financial assistance in their studies. The BMMSF Committee is committed to be able to provide a $1000 scholarship to help them meet their educational goals. Why is there a BMMSF? Bill's idea of success was to be able to communicate through his films, books and paintings the intense feelings he had for his surroundings, and to inspire others into sharing and adopting these thoughts and concerns. He was passionate in his beliefs and spoke from his heart. This coupled with his unwavering pursuit of excellence and the attention he gave to every detail allowed him to inadvertently become a well known environmentalist and public figure. Our auction will help ensure Bill Mason's continued legacy through the Bill Mason Memorial Scholarship Fund. Auction Where? The auction is hosted by Ebay.ca Fundraising goal. The 2011 BMMSF auction was a success, After the expenses were deducted including my web work, the ebay and the Paypal fees the final donation total was $805.83. This money will be donated to the BMMSF. Thank you to all of our sponsors and bidders for making our fundraiser a success. |

Clinic and Island Day trip for one person donated by White Squall Paddling CentreWin the bid and book your skills clinic and a day trip combo. You'll be well taken of by White Squall, it's first class all the way. This offer is perfect for a beginner or for someone who wants to review their skills and get out on Georgian Bay for a day. This Getaway include boats and necessary gear. The lesson is about 2.5 hours and the daytrip is a full day on the Bay with everything provided except the lunch (we ask folks to bring a packed lunch but we provide hot drinks and snacks). You only need to come with a change of clothing and be prepared to get wet and have some fun. To be used by October 2011.
