Becky acquired her paddling skills and her love for canoes from her Dad, Bill Mason, the author and filmmaker of the Path of the Paddle series. She enjoys continuing the family tradition of sharing her love of paddling by teaching canoeing using her unique hands-on instructional technique she calls Classic Solo Canoeing.

This 2008 canoeing clip was produced by Michael J. Cavanaugh for the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association assembly. It is a lovely video of her and Reid spinning Ferdy Goode and Steve Cayard's beautifully crafted birch bark canoes.
