#6 Paddling Pic: Spring into Action!

#6 Chelsea, Quebec. 2012

Paddlers can get pretty excited at the first signs of spring.During the winter hard-core canoeists might pore over maps, read trip reports and plan their summer trips but by the time March rolls around people can start getting antsy. One particularly long snowy spring we made this snow canoe so we could get the season started early. It's the first canoe we ever built! :-) Maybe some of you have spent a winter building a canoe, so today I'm asking about the canoe you have built...or hope to build. Let's see some pics please.

About Today's Paddling Pic:

These last few days and weeks I've found myself looking back on some wonderful memories and images of where canoeing has taken me, and it's made me smile. I feel so fortunate and grateful for these places, people and experiences, and it's kind of nice to reminisce. And in doing so I can't help but to also look forward to a time when we can all paddle safely again! So for the next while Reid and I are posting a picture a day (with a story) that will brighten our day and hopefully yours too. I invite you to share your stories in the comment section.
